Advanced Taste Workshops by Shreyas Doshi
· updated
After a year, almost to the day, I find myself yet again in Shreyas’s advanced workshop, learning what the majority of people think is unteachable. How can you learn taste?
Common wisdom will say taste is so subjective, so ephemeral, that most of the time you just want to say: it is what it is, you either have it or you don’t. And, as with difficult things, this is our ego protecting us from the sad truth: you simply don’t know what taste is.
The good news is that you can observe this, resist it, and look for answers (99% of people won’t, congrats!). But the challenge is real. The main problem with your journey toward taste discovery is that there are no good answers out there! Don’t take my word for it. Take a few seconds to pause and think back. What have you heard about taste? That Steve Jobs had it? That it’s the thing that will protect you from AI taking your job? Have you learned something from it?
There’s only one person I trust to deliver if they create a course on something difficult. Shreyas will walk you through impossible with intensity, clarity, honesty, and a good sprinkle of humor. You will never look at the world the same way again after “only” seven hours of listening and practicing.
And if you want more, you can later increase your product sense.
